Leddie & Smoggy Get Tagged In.

Its not like us at BIGscene.TV to be directing you to another company's videos but we can't help but big up the MC's from our hometown when they do something BIG! Namely Leddie & Smoggy featuring on RapperTag UK.

If you're unfamiliar with 'RapperTag' its basically freeverses spat with, or without, a beat and at the end of each one the MC 'tags' the next rapper in.  Leddie was tagged in by UK Hip Hop heavyweight Genesis Elijah, and she went on to tag in her partner in rhyme - Smoggy.  Both, as always, dropped some thought provoking bars.  So here they are....

**NEW SHOW** BIG SCENE ACAPELLA

Following the success of the FRONTLINE series the staff at BIG SCENE decided we wanted another format to showcase talented rappers.  Whilst filming Frontlines numerous MC's had requested to spit Acapella, without a beat!  We took that on board and decided to run a new format parallel to FRONTLINE.....ACAPELLA.  This really gives the MC chance to show their character and flow freely without the constriction of a certain genre or timing.

Check out the VERY FIRST ACAPELLA from Teesside's tyrannical two-some 'BIG ROB AND BLUNT!'

VIDEO SPECIAL - INTERVIEW WITH SNEAKBO

South London Rapper Sneakbo was up in 'the Boro' a while back performing at Urban night 'Deuces'.  As we do, BIGscene.TV got an exclusive interview with the JetSki Wave MC and who better to ask the questions than the lovely Jamilah.  The Brixton bad boy answered questions about his latest release,  the inspiration behind his bashment sounds and being friends with Drake. Watch the interview below and look out for more exclusive interviews from BIGscene.TV in the near future!

**NEW ON THE FRONTLINE**

June has been a great month for BIGscene.TV.  Not only have we had loads of great new content for you but we also skipped past the 50,000 view mark.  The YouTube channel is going strong with over 100 subscribers and its all because of the great artists and their fans (and we can't forget the haters too!)

We have had artists from all over the country asking to feature on BIG scene, so much so that we are struggling to keep up with the demand.  Needless to say we are busy expanding and strengthening the team and will be getting round to featuring everyone in good time!  Get in touch via Twitter @bigscene.tv or Facebook if you wish to be part of the team or if you wish to feature on the channel.

Here is some of the new content if you haven't yet seen it!

NEW NORTH EAST VIDS

The past month has seen some great new vids come from the North East rap scene.  Most recently T.3.C released their Jamie Alderson directed video 'Here We Go Again'.  The track has some summer vibes and features the vocals of newcomer BeBe.  Check it out here....

BrainFeeders MC Conscript also released a solo video this month, again directed by Jamie Alderson, Spare Thoughts is an insight into Conscripts mind.  With video cameos from Rex Regis and JMan, its a simple but effective vid that fits the track nicely.  Watch it here ....

Last up we have a new Suus vid. Directed by Nick Light.  He remix Drake's Lord Knows and we prefer it to the original! Its may have been over-remixed but with meaningful, hard hitting lines we think this video/track was a great shout ......

Teesside Makes A BIG STOMP!

Urban youth event Stomp 3 was brought to Middlesbrough,Teesside Students Union on Saturday the 14th of April by voluntary organisation All In Youth Project.180 young people aged 13-19 turned out to hear the best bhangra, hip hop, dance and ragga tunes. Everyone also watched local youth artists perform and took part in a vote for their favourite who dared to take the stage. Local successful artist Kaydon performed some of his latest tunes to a big crowd after the vote for the top 3 'Crowd Pleaser' acts. Top crowd pleaser was local rapper AdotF who won 100 pounds worth of vouchers, 2nd place went to Mo Ajaal (Slingshot) who won £50 in vouchers and 3rd was rapper Ollie who got £25 worth of vouchers. BIGscene Tv cover the night which was a huge success, celebrating the diversity of the Tees Valley and the fact that young people are positive role models to others. Event organisers Marsha Garratt and Nadia Usman were pleased with the outcome. "We've worked hard with young people to produce this event and we want to thank everyone who took part, showed up and volunteered. We've showed what young people can acheive when they are given the opportunity, access to new skills and support." The next STOMP is planned for later in the year and promises to be bigger and better and if you want to take part contact can be made on Facebook under Carrie Garratt or STOMP.
